These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SoraVDL (“we”, “our”, “us”), a mobile application that enables lawful, link-based retrieval of publicly accessible Sora videos when permitted.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the App and uninstall it from your device.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using SoraVDL, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms

  • You agree to comply with all applicable laws and platform policies

  • You accept responsibility for your use of the Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Definitions

  • “App” / “Service” / “SoraVDL” – The SoraVDL mobile application and related services

  • “User” / “You” – Any individual or entity using the Service

  • “Content” – Videos or related media accessible via user-provided links

  • “Download” – Temporary technical processing of externally hosted content

  • “Account” – Optional user account created for premium features

  • “Virtual Currency” / “Coins” – In-app virtual items with no real-world monetary value

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use the Service.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or legal guardian consent.

By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree that you are solely responsible for:

  • The links you submit

  • The Content you choose to download

  • Ensuring you have legal rights or permission to download Content

You agree to:

  • Download only Content you own or are legally authorized to access

  • Respect copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

  • Immediately notify us of unauthorized account access

5. Lawful Use & Copyright Notice

SoraVDL is intended only for lawful use.

Downloading copyrighted content without authorization may violate applicable laws. Removing watermarks or attribution may be unlawful where they represent ownership or licensing information.

References to “download without watermark” describe technical functionality only and do not grant legal rights.

6. Intellectual Property

All third-party Content remains the property of its respective owners.

SoraVDL does not claim ownership over any downloaded Content.

All SoraVDL software, branding, and design are protected by intellectual property laws. No license is granted except to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.

SoraVDL is not affiliated with OpenAI, Sora, or any third-party platform.

7. DMCA & Copyright Complaints

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar international laws.

Copyright notices must include:

  • Identification of copyrighted work

  • Identification of infringing material

  • Contact information

  • Good-faith statement

  • Statement under penalty of perjury

8. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Download or distribute content without legal authorization

  • Bypass DRM, paywalls, or technical safeguards

  • Use bots, automation, or scraping tools

  • Attempt reverse engineering or exploitation

  • Share or sell accounts

  • Circumvent usage limits

  • Upload malware or abuse the Service

  • Violate Google Play Developer Policy

  • Use the Service for illegal or harmful purposes

9. In-App Purchases & Virtual Currency

SoraVDL offers optional in-app purchases via Google Play Billing.

  • Purchases are processed by Google

  • Coins are virtual and non-transferable

  • Coins have no real-world monetary value

  • Refunds are handled according to Google Play policies

  • Prices and features may change at any time

  • Unused coins may be forfeited if the account is terminated

10. Accounts & Wallets

If you create an account:

  • You must provide accurate information

  • You are responsible for account security

  • Wallet balances and transactions are stored securely

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations

11. No Hosting or Storage

SoraVDL does not host or store third-party videos.

  • Processing is temporary

  • Files are saved only to your device

  • URLs and data are discarded after completion

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party services including:

  • Firebase

  • Google Play Billing

  • External video platforms

We are not responsible for third-party availability, legality, or policy changes. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

13. App Permissions

The App may request:

  • Internet access – To process URLs

  • Storage/Media access – To save files locally

Permissions are used only for functionality and can be revoked in device settings.

14. Compliance Statement

SoraVDL strives to comply with:

  • Google Play Developer Policy

  • International copyright laws

  • DMCA principles

  • GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA

  • Applicable consumer protection laws

Nothing in these Terms encourages unlawful activity.

15. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, availability, or error-free performance.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoraVDL shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Loss of data or profits

  • Content downloaded by users

  • Service interruptions or failures

  • Loss of virtual currency

  • Third-party actions or content

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoraVDL from any claims arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Service

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Copyright infringement

  • Unauthorized account use

18. Service Modifications

We may:

  • Modify or discontinue features

  • Impose limits

  • Change pricing

  • Update or remove functionality

Without prior notice and without liability.

19. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for:

Upon termination, access and unused virtual currency may be forfeited as permitted by law.
